Prehospital services – 911
Call 911 for emergencies or immediate assistance.
You must call 911 in the following cases:
- When someone’s life or health is in danger
- Childbirth
- Seizures
- Respiratory distress
- Electric shock
- Choking
- Hemorrhage (internal and external bleeding)
- Drowning
- Fainting
- Allergic reaction (itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing, skin rash)
- You witness a serious accident or criminal act
- A person needs to be transported by ambulance
- A person needs immediate assistance and must be taken to the emergency room
