A nurse at your CLSC or school can give you advice about available contraception methods and even provide you with an initial prescription for oral contraception. You can also get this service at any medical clinic in the Laval territory.
The morning-after pill (emergency contraception) is available at your pharmacy without a prescription. If you have had unprotected sex or your contraceptive method didn’t work, ask your pharmacist for this medication within 72 hours of intercourse.
Make sure you also get tested for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI) at your local CLSC or medical clinic.
