    Mutual aid, promotion and defence of the rights of people living with an intellectual disability. This organization is managed by and for these individuals and helps its members get involved and have a voice to improve their own living conditions. The movement also organizes activities for these individuals, such as a group for teens and a coffee klatsch.

    La Halte de l’Orchidbleue organizes an activity centre for residents of Laval aged 12 and over who are living with an intellectual impairment, with or without other disorders.

    This organization offers arts and sensory stimulation workshops for adults living with an intellectual disability and who may or may not have a physical disability. These workshops help them develop their independence, break their isolation, and promote their socialization.

    Comité d'action en sécurité alimentaire de Laval (CASAL)

    The CASAL is an intersectoral committee with representatives from different sectors, such as communities, municipalities, the agricultural sector, school boards, the health sector and charities. Created as an initiative of the Direction de santé publique de Laval in 2006, the committee fosters and promotes food security in the Laval territory.
