Housekeeping services are available to people aged 65 and over (at a variable rate depending on family income) through the Financial Assistance Program for Domestic Help Services:

• Light housework: laundering, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning.
• Heavy housework: major cleaning jobs.
• Clothing care.
• Preparation of non-diet meals. 
• Grocery shopping and other errands.

With a referral from the CLSC, people under the age of 65 who need domestic help services after surgery or because of a disease, illness or any other disability can also get this variable rate.
