Housekeeping services are available to people aged 65 and over (at a variable rate depending on family income) through the Financial Assistance Program for Domestic Help Services:
- Light housework: laundering, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning.
- Heavy housework: major cleaning jobs.
- Clothing care.
- Preparation of non-diet meals.
- Grocery shopping and other errands.
With a referral from the CLSC, people under the age of 65 who need domestic help services after surgery or because of a disease, illness or any other disability can also get this variable rate.
